LYNETTE CORBY NUNGARRAYI

Lynette Corby Nungarrayi was born 1958 in Haasts Bluff, Northern Territory. She began painting for the Papunya Tula Artists movement around 1990 and works equally well in several artistic mediums, as well as painting in acrylics and screen-printing onto garments.

She is a vital member of the Watiyawanu Artist of Amunturrngu Aboriginal Community Corporation as well as being a former assistant teacher of Luritja - in the written and spoken language. Her magnificent paintings have been widely exhibited and feature in numerous corporate and private collections – both locally and overseas.was schooled at Ross Park Primary in Alice Springs. BUSH TUCKER DREAMING

This traditional vibrant design depicts women collecting and hunting for bush tucker. The women are represented by the U shapes with their digging sticks and coolamon dishes. We can also see various ceremonial sites throughout the painting. The various types of bush tucker include bush fruits and vegetables, honey ants and witchetty grubs
