GENEVIEVE LOY KEMARRE

Genevieve Loy Kemarre was born in 1982 at Boundary Bore, Utopia approximately 270 km North–East of Alice Springs. Her skin name is Kemarre and her language Anmatyerre/Alyawarre.
She is the daughter of Cowboy Loy Pwerle and Carol Kunoth Kngwarraye. Genevieve is painting her father’s country which lies on the western side of the Sandover River on Utopian Station and his Arwengerrp- Bush Turkey Dreaming of which she shares custodianship.

BUSH TURKEY DREAMING

This vibrant design depicts the nesting place of the Bush Turkey. Genevieve uses repetitive motifs to depict the tracks of the Bush Turkey as it searches for seeds and other bush tucker, making its way to the waterhole.
