Kim Butler Naparrula is from Tjukurla, Northern Territory. A Pintupi woman and well respected artist and daughter of great artist Kutarra Butler and sister of talented artist Faith Butler.
Kim’s work primarily depicts sacred ceremonial grounds and women’s ceremony. The women are often depicted by the U shapes gathering together to teach the importance of each site, their cultural and dreamtime songs & dances.
The sacred sites are often represented by the concentric circles with travelling paths between them also depicted.
