JOHN BECK- MEETING PLACE

John Beck is an indigenous artist from Western Australia and has been painting for over 30 years. He currently spends his time between being a pastor In South Australia while also regularly creating finely detailed intricate dot paintings.

In this painting he has depicted a very special meeting place in the Western Australian Desert where he grew up. It represents people coming together to pass on old age stories, dance and song. We  can see various landscapes and natural features depicted, along with many types of bush foods and animal tracks.
