MARLENE DOOLAN- BUSH FLOWERS

Marlene Doolan was born at Santa Teresa, South East of Alice Springs, in 1970. She began painting early on in her life but made the move to acrylic on canvas in 1999.

Like many women from Santa Teresa, Marlene, depicts her traditional Dreamings using a style that is characterised by fine dots, bright colours and attention to intricate detail.

Some recurring themes in Marlene's paintings are "Spiritual Dancing", "Spiritual People" and the "Wild Bush Onion”

This painting represents the pretty wild flowers of the native Bush Onion.
